Amanda O’Han and Jason Gisby-Hanks were recognized for their athletic and academic success on Thursday, May 29th by the Mid-Hudson Athletic League.

Amanda O’Han is a highly accomplished student-athlete whose dedication to excellence shines both on and off the field. A multi-sport varsity athlete, Amanda has competed in Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, and Track & Field, earning numerous accolades throughout her high school career. She served as team captain for Basketball, Flag Football, and Soccer, and was named MVP for Basketball (2024–2025) and Flag Football (2023–2024). Her athletic achievements also include being selected as a Section IX Flag Football All-Star.
Academically, Amanda has maintained exceptional performance, achieving High Honor Roll status for 15 quarters and is a 9-time MHAL Scholar Athlete. She is a member and secretary of the National Honor Society and has been recognized as a 2024 Carson Scholar. Additionally, she received the prestigious Rensselaer Medal Award and was named an AP Scholar with Honor.
Beyond academics and athletics, Amanda is deeply involved in her community. She has contributed through the Peer Leadership Club, worked as a summer camp counselor, and volunteered as a tutor for middle school students.
Amanda will attend Binghamton University in the fall.
Jason Gisby-Hanks is a distinguished student-athlete known for his academic excellence, athletic talent, and dedication to community service. A versatile varsity athlete, Jason has competed in Basketball, Soccer, Track & Field, and Unified Basketball. His athletic achievements include winning the 2024 Section IX Championships in both Soccer and the 4×400 Relay, setting a school record in the sprint medley relay (SMR), and becoming a two-time MHAL 4×400 Relay Champion.
Jason’s academic record is equally impressive. He has earned High Honor Roll recognition for 15 quarters and is a 10-time MHAL Scholar Athlete. A two-year member of the National Honor Society, he was also inducted into the National Society for High School Scholars in 2024. His academic accolades include the George Eastman Young Leaders Award. Beyond the classroom, Jason is active in Spanish Club and a dedicated musician, serving as percussion ensemble leader and performing with the high school band, pit band, and NYSSMA. He was also honored with the prestigious Will Landry Award for having the highest GPA among boys basketball players in Dutchess County.
Committed to giving back, Jason has volunteered with the Rhinebeck Interact Club and worked at Ramapo for Children Summer Camp.
Jason will attend Boston University in the fall.
