Varsity track and field opened their season competing against Highland and host Rondout Valley. Highlighted performances include:
– Jason Gisby-Hanks (2:05.8) anchoring the boys 4×800 to a 2nd place finish with the fastest split of the evening across all three schools
– Fiona Murray (12.54) placing 4th in the 100m dash
– Quin Gideon (12.315) and Felix Miller (12.320) placing 5th and 6th in the 100m dash
– Augy Lamm (5:20), Alex Button (5:33), and Rex Codling (5:36) placing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the 1600m run
– Parker Ruger (51.51) and Landon Williams (59.15) finishing 1st and 6th in the 400m dash
– Walker Codling (2:40) finishing 6th in the 800m run
– Quin Gideon, Parker Ruger, Felix Miller, and Jason-Gisby Hanks (3:39.39) winning the 4×400 relay
– Walker Codling (19-6.5) winning the long jump
– Jesse Thompkins Jr (83-06) and Trayse Kasnia-Herman (79-5) finishing 5th and 6th in the discus
– Trayse Kasnia-Herman (30-3) finishing 6th in the shot put
Track and field returns this Friday night at the Iron Duke Relays hosted by Marlboro High School, followed by a home meet against Pine Plains on Tuesday, April 29th.
