The Varsity Baseball team rallied past Webutuck with a strong mid-game surge and dominant all-around performance to claim a 5-2 road victory.
Webutuck struck first in the second inning, capitalizing on an error to take an early 1-0 lead. Rhinebeck answered in the fourth when Oscar Clark singled to right field, tying the game at one. The Hawks then took control in the fifth, as Damian Haag doubled down the left field line and John Haight followed with an RBI single, giving Rhinebeck a 3-1 advantage they wouldn’t relinquish.
Clark earned the win on the mound, striking out seven over four innings while allowing two runs (one earned). Troy Martin provided lockdown relief, tossing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts to secure the victory.
At the plate, Haight led the way, going 2-for-3. Martin, Clark, Haight, and Haag each drove in a run, highlighting a balanced offensive effort. The Hawks also flashed solid defense, turning a key double play.
