The Varsity Baseball team defeated Webutuck 12–2 in their home opener on Monday, April 13th. Using early momentum and aggressive baserunning to the Hawks were in control of the game from the opening pitch.
Rhinebeck got on the board in the first inning thanks to a passed ball and a dropped third strike, then broke it open with a six-run second inning fueled by timely hits and smart plays on the bases.
On the mound, Oscar Clark led the way with a solid five-inning performance, allowing just two runs and striking out seven to secure the win.
Offensively, the Hawks showed depth throughout the lineup, with key contributions from Dean Pendergast, John Haight, and Aidan Jarvis.
The Hawks next game is on Wednesday, April 15th when they travel to Pine Plains to take on the Bombers in a 4:15 game.
