Rhinebeck track and field hosted Dover last Thursday, 5/15. The night also served as a “senior send-off” for the nine seniors on the team, who were honored at the conclusion of the meet. The boys team narrowly lost 54-60, while the girls fell 8-77.
Individual highlights include:
- Joaquim Azevedo running uncontested to win the 400m hurdles (72.0)
- Maddy Santoro placing 2nd in the 100m dash (13.5)
- Parker Ruger placed 2nd in the 100m dash (11.7)
- Bluebell Quested placing 2nd in the 400m dash (1:10.2)
- Jason Gisby-Hanks winning the 400m dash (52.9)
- The girls 4x100m relay (Sadie Shalam, Fiona Murray, Sophia Santoro, Maddy Santoro) placing 2nd (54.2)
- Lucie Sloan placing 3rd in the 100m hurdles (21.6)
- Gisby-Hanks (2:19.8) and Rex Colding (2:28.9) placing 1st and 2nd in the 800m run
- Maddy Santoro placing 2nd in the 200m dash (28.5)
- Ruger (23.2) and Brady Fischer (24.5) placing 1st and 2nd in the 200m dash
- The boys 4x400m relay (Quin Gideon, Gisby-Hanks, Fischer, Ruger) placing 1st (3:40.9)
- Greg Reed (103’5″) and Trayse Kasnia-Herman (90’6″) placing 1st and 2nd in the discus throw
- Landon Williams (16’7.5″) and Azevedo (14’4.5″) placing 1st and 2nd in the long jump
