The Varsity Girls Soccer team is the #3-seed in the Section IX Class C Tournament. They open play on Wednesday, October 29th when they travel to Tri-Valley to take on the #2-seeded Bears.
The Hawks came from behind twice against a strong Coxsackie-Athens team for the 3-2 win. Lark Wright opened the scoring with her first varsity goal, while Lexi Torres had two. The Hawks lost a heartbreaker in double OT 3-2 on Senior night, with Lexi Torres and Mai Curthoys notching goals for the home team.
Mai Curthoys had 2 goals and Lexi Torres had a goal and two assists in a 5-0 defeat of Ellenville. First time goal scorers Addison Kalafala and Mila Guerra rounded out the scoring while Gwen Dampf had 2 saves.
Mai Curthoys scored in the second overtime for the 2-1 walk-off win against Dover. Eliza Strassberger opened the scoring off a Lexi Torres assist.
Both Mai Curthoys and Charlie Padgen had two goals and an assist each on the way to defeating Highland 6-0. Lexi Torres and Natalie Delgado rounded out the scoring with assists by Malena Ruiz Michels and Clara Orr. Gwen Dampf got the shutout with 8 saves.
The Hawks edged Pine Plains 1-0 behind first time goal scorer Malena Ruiz Michels effort in the second half. Mai Curthoys assisted on the deciding goal against the up-and-coming Bombers.
