The Hawks are Sectional Champions after an outstanding team performance on both sides of the ball!
Offensively, quarterback Gwen Dampf put on a show, throwing for 250 yards. Lexi Torres wasted no time getting the Hawks on the board with an immediate touchdown to open the game. Ella Donnelly added a touchdown of her own, while Maci Eighmy found the end zone, and Ella Romeo converted the extra point. Maura Cuyler capped off the scoring with a rushing touchdown, and Lexi Torres contributed an extra point.
Defensively, the Hawks were locked in from start to finish. Gwen Dampf came away with two interceptions; Charlie Padgen added another, and the defense consistently shut down the opposition. Maura Cuyler and Paige Boehm set the tone all game long with relentless rushing pressure, while Lexi Torres and Addy Gendron led the way with key flag pulls and outstanding defensive play.
An incredible team effort from start to finish, with contributions across the board. The Hawks played fast, physical, and together on their way to bringing home the Sectional Championship. The Hawks travel to Goshen on Tuesday, June 2nd to play in the regional championship Vs. Westlake Briarcliff. Come and show your support!
