On Thursday, June 4, 2026, Rhinebeck High School proudly celebrated the accomplishments of its student-athletes during the annual Varsity Sports Recognition Night.
The evening honored athletes for their dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and academic excellence. A total of 79 Scholar-Athletes were recognized for maintaining an unweighted GPA of 90 or higher during their varsity sports seasons, including 49 one-season, 25 two-season, and 5 three-season Scholar-Athletes.
38 members of the Class of 2026 were recognized for their commitment to Rhinebeck athletics and received framed varsity letters commemorating their participation and contributions throughout their high school careers.
Several special awards were presented during the ceremony:
- United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Awards: Abigail Connolly and Brandon Martinez
- Nat Oxley Memorial Award: Quin Gideon
- Ralph Stuart Memorial Awards: Eleanor Firestone and Hunter Szabo
- Maggie O’Malley Coaches’ Awards: Eleanor Firestone and Sawyer Giles
- Charles Sherman Sportsmanship Award: Mason Decker
- Shirley Ayers Sportsmanship Award: Macilyn Eighmy
- Joseph E. Hill Memorial Award (Outstanding Senior Male Athlete): Hunter Szabo
- Outstanding Senior Female Athlete Award: Madison Ranalli
The Rhinebeck Central School District congratulates all of the athletes recognized throughout the evening. Their achievements in competition, the classroom, and the community exemplify the pride, dedication, and sportsmanship that define Rhinebeck athletics.
